One of the best things about working at weddings in Scotland is the vast array of venues we have the pleasure of visiting. This was none more so than in the case of the wedding of Stephen and Owen at Monachyle Mhor during July of this year.
After a drive of just over one hour from Glasgow, we very quickly found out why this is a “live in” venue for all the staff. However, as the roads became more narrow, the views in turn became more spectacular!
On arrival we were very quickly shown to the Dutch barn, a medium sized function room complete with wood burning heater and a rustic feel since it was open to wild birds which had free-reign of the barn!
Adding to the setting was a giant mirror ball, which was a fabulous addition particularly when it came to generating an exciting atmosphere for the evening ahead!
It immediately became apparent that this would be an experience we wouldn’t forget in a hurry!
Thanks for a fantastic job!! Great night, so much fun!
On to the guests who the happy couple obviously knew very well! They had specified that music should be chosen from no earlier than the 1980s, a sound assessment of their friends and family since they contributed to what was a memorable evening of dancing to the sound of pop classics and modern day hits.
As can be seen from this short video, this crowd knew how to party!
Special mention must go to the staff, Paulina and Rhys who were not only welcoming but intent on making sure everything ran smoothly. As a supplier it’s always great to see and goes a long way.
Furthermore, the bar staff also let their hair down, requested and took part in the Macarena and Cha Cha Slide which we seldom see from any staff at any venue – a big well done to all concerned!
One staff member mentioned that the one reason for working there was the views they wake up to every morning – good enough reason to stay and be part of this real gem of a venue!
We’d love to return here soon, so if you are planning your wedding or other event here, don’t forget to get in touch!
